The green light does not indicate the truth
When charging a battery, the LED "ready" lights up at some point, indicating that the battery is fully charged, such as VGP-BPL8 Battery,VGP-BPL9 Battery. The user assumes that the battery has reached its full potential and he trusts him.
By no means the "green" does not guarantee sufficient capacity of the battery or provides a state of good health. Like a toaster ejects when the bread is browned, the charger performs battery with energy and "throws" in the Ready state when it has finished. The end of the load is commonly detected by a temperature rise of the VGP-BPL10 Battery,IBM 85G6704 Adapter.
The rechargeable VGP-BPS13 Battery is a device that gradually loses its corrosive power to hold a charge and this in part because of the natural aging process. Many users are unaware that their battery lasts barely a day with any remaining energy autonomy. In fact, the low battery can hide it with ease because low demand is imposed upon them during a routine day. This situation changes when full performance is required during an emergency. A total collapse of portable systems is quite common and such failures are often related to poor battery performance. Figure 1 shows the battery at various stages of degradation,Dell 310-1093 adapter,ACER BT.3506.001 Battery.
Figure 1: The rechargeable battery is a device that gradually loses its corrosive power to keep the load because of natural aging,HP F1045A Battery.
The fact refer to the larger batteries or systems at higher energies does not necessarily mean better reliability if the batteries are low "fire-break,like the VGP-BPS15 Battery,ACER LC.BTP00.001 Battery. Similarly, the benefit of using devices developed ultra-high capacity is nullified if the batteries are allowed to exist in the park when their performance fell below an acceptable level.
Figure 2 illustrates four batteries with different indices of shock and various health states. Batteries B, C and D show a reduced charge acceptance because they have memory problems and other failures. The worst case is the D Battery(TOSHIBA PA3522U-1BRS battery,PA3356U-1BAS Battery)but passes in the Ready state after only 14 minutes of charge (estimated duration). This battery is very likely to be chosen if a fresh battery is required in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, this case will last only a few moments. By cons Battery A has the highest capacity and then takes more time to be loaded. Ironically, this battery A will have less chance of being selected because it is slower to load and then finish the ready state.
Figure 2: The typical times of charging and discharging of batteries with indices and different states of health,OLYMPUS LI-10B Battery.
Low batteries are charged quickly and remain in the ready state longer than the good batteries, like Dell Inspiron 6000 Battery. The poor tend to "gravitate" towards the top, making them more available first for a user not suspecting the problem. In an emergency situation that requires action fast charging, the batteries alone indicating a ready state are perhaps part of the "deadwood",SONY NP-FM50 Battery.
